RENDEZ-VOUS with a VOICE

Events of this kind are rare and precious indeed: An internationally acclaimed soprano

leaves the big stage for just one evening to perform the most exquisite arias of her repertoire

before a select group of less than 150 opera lovers. On 23 November 2008 we will revive

the tradition of exclusive House Concerts with an exquisite combination of cultural and

culinary delights - with Diana Damrau and the Brandenburg Symphonic Orchestra under

Gernot Schulz - hereby offering you an experience, accessible only to a privileged few.

The Concert

‘What really matters’, says Diana Damrau ‘is to let the music touch the heart of the listener

and let him feel the magic of music.’ Thus the singer, born in 1971 in Günzburg/Germany,

is known to immerse herself in her performances and continuously astonishes audiences

with her flawless soprano voice. Some of you will, no doubt, have heard Diana Damrau

at the MET, in Milano, in London, Paris or indeed at the Salzburg Festival; yet others will

remember her performance at the opening ceremony of the Soccer World Cup in 2006 as

the expressive vocal acrobat who shone alongside Placido Domingo in Munich’s Olympic

Stadium.
