An Ocean of Flowers and Dazzling Colours. Garden Weekends 2008
According to ancient Chinese wisdom, lifelong happiness is yours if you create a garden. And what a delight it must be to call a veritable garden kingdom one's own, as Prince Franz of Anhalt-Dessau once did. His park at Wörlitz, created in the eighteenth century and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the places we want to show you, if you choose to embark on a weekend that is as enjoyable as it is full of interest. In association with the Dessau Wörlitz Foundation for Culture and the Klessen Manor House, we are delighted to invite to discover these remarkable gardens in all their glory, diversity and history.
The Brandenburger Hof is the initiator and the host on this journey of discovery, it is our privilege to guide you through picturesque beauty of the Prussian landscape. Klessen Manor House, a stately home in the Havelland region, opens its grand doors for you. The magnificent rooms will be imbued with life, we will hear speakers of distinction, wander through the parks and gardens of Wörlitz with their castles, monuments and countless references to Europe's cultural history. Last but by no means least, we can indulge in the cuisine of our maestro Bobby Bräuer, based on localproduce and put together with greatest finesse.
There are five possible options for your Garden Weekend in 2008, every one a magical and ultimately timeless immersion in the past. When can we expect you? |
