5pm sharp: time for a little break. If you are lucky then you will have the opportunity to ring in the evening. And where better than in our lounge… with fine cakes from the patisserie, petit fours in pastel colours, crispy pastries and delicate macaroons?
The source of the delicious fragrances wafting from the kitchen will depend on the season… in spring it will be citrus fruits and lemon balm, in summer red berries and elderflowers. Apple and vanilla linger throughout the autumn and in winter the fragrance of cinnamon, cloves and cardamom fills the room. Resistance is futile: it is coffee and teatime each afternoon in the hotel.
